27th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health is today investigating an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) at Bishop Walsh Primary School in Wong Tai Sin, and appeals to members of the public and staff of institutions to stay alert and maintain strict personal and environmental hygiene.

The outbreak involves 20 students, comprising nine males and 11 females aged 7 to 9. They developed symptoms since 4th March. Sixteen of them sought medical attention and one of them tested positive for respiratory syncytial virus. None required hospitalisation. All are in stable condition.
