20 more new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Hong Kong this evening, mostly local infections


10th July 2020 – (Hong Kong) The COVID-19 epidemic in Hong Kong has been spreading fast in the last few days. It is understood that there are about 20 additional confirmed cases this evening, most of which are local infections, including 8 cases confirmed by the Hospital Authority and 3 cases traced by the Department of Health.

 The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health has announced that as of 4pm today, there were 38 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases taking the number of cases to 1,404 in Hong Kong so far (comprising 1,403 confirmed cases and one probable case). The newly reported cases announced today involve 18 males and 20 females aged between seven and 89 years. Among them, six had a travel history during the incubation period.
