2 newly imported COVID-19 cases from the Philippines and Qatar reported today, both fully vaccinated

14th September 2021 – (Hong Kong)    The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) announced that as of 0.00am, today the CHP was investigating two additional confirmed COVID-19 cases, taking the number of cases to 12,149 in Hong Kong so far (comprising 12,148 confirmed cases and one probable case).

The newly reported cases are imported cases. The two newly imported cases include a 53-year-old woman arriving from the Philippines who received two doses of COVID-19 vaccination (Comirnaty) in Hong Kong on 10th April and 1st May. The other patient is a 49-year-old man who arrived from Qatar. He received two doses of COVID-19 vaccination (CoronaVac) in Hong Kong on 18th March and 15th April. Both of them did not develop any symptoms.

A total of 41 cases have been reported in the past 14 days and all of them are imported cases.
