2 more COVID-19 infected elderly patients pass away today, total deaths reach 29


1st August 2020 – (Hong Kong) 2 more patients passed away due to coronavirus today and a total of 29 people died. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital today (1st) stated that a 79-year-old male patient living in Man Yue House, Tsz Man Estate, Tsz Wan Shan, who had a long-term illness, was admitted to the hospital for treatment on the 27th of last month because of a cough.

As for an 89-year-old female patient in Tuen Mun Hospital, she was a resident of CORNWALL ELDERLY’S HOME  in Tuen Mun. She has a chronic illness and was admitted to the hospital for treatment on the 26th of last month due to fever. The hospital stated that the condition of the two patients continued to deteriorate. The hospital communicated with the family members about the patient’s condition. The family members agreed that if the patient’s condition deteriorates, the patient will not be subjected to cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Among them, patients in Queen Elizabeth Hospital passed away at 11.44pm last night, and patient from Tuen Mun Hospital passed away at 0.20am in the morning today.
