2 men arrested for fighting on MTR train bound for Yuen Long


1st July 2022 – (Hong Kong) At about 10pm in the evening yesterday, an Indian man and local man engaged in a brawl on MTR Tuen Ma Line train bound for Yuen Long because one of them was talking on the phone too loudly. The local man was manhandled to the floor and his mask was even removed. He then caught hold of the Indian man’s top and his backpack before 2 other passengers separated them.

When the train arrived at Austin Station, police officers rushed to control the scene. After investigation, the Indian man (37) and a local man surnamed Wu (45) were arrested on suspicion of fighting in a public place. The case was handed over to the Yau Tsim Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. The two arrested men suffered face and hand injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance.
