2 elderly men found dead in Tuen Mun and Yau Ma Tei separately at 7pm

18th June 2024 – (Hong Kong) A resident of Leung Yin House in Leung King Estate, Tuen Mun, made a distressing discovery at approximately 7pm today. The individual, surnamed Ng and aged 74, found a family member, a 61-year-old man named Wong, unconscious inside their unit. Emergency services were promptly alerted, but before their arrival, the family had managed to remove a rope from around Wong’s neck. Unfortunately, he had already fallen into a coma. Upon arrival at the hospital, Wong’s death was confirmed. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this suspected suicide attempt, as no suicide note was found at the scene. It is worth noting that the deceased had a medical history of illness.

In a separate incident tonight, law enforcement received a report from an employee at an address on Woosung Street, Yau Ma Tei, at approximately 7pm. The employee expressed concerns about a middle-aged man who appeared to have collapsed at the location.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the lifeless body of a 61-year-old man named Wong. Adjacent to him was a plate with burned charcoal. The cause of his death is yet to be determined pending a post-mortem examination, as no suicide note was discovered at the scene.
