23rd December 2019 – (Hong Kong) Named in honour of Fortnum’s address in London’s Piccadilly, 181 is a unique new dining destination at K11 Atelier that brings their three centuries of food and drink expertise to Hong Kong for the first time. Founded in 1707 as a grocery store, Fortnum’s reputation was built on supplying quality food, and saw rapid growth throughout the Victorian era. Though Fortnum’s developed into a department store, it continues to focus on stocking a variety of exotic, speciality and also ‘basic’ provisions.
The new flagship outlet at K11 Atelier comprises a store that sells everything from their deliciously smooth chocolate to scrumptiously sweet preserves and honey. If you need to do some last-minute Christmas shopping, you can select from Fortnum’s full collection of sweet and savoury treats from their handmade chocolates, biscuits, truffles and cakes to delicious preserves, marmalades and tea.
The beautiful bar and dining room upstairs serves up a specially curated, innovative and seasonal menu across lunch, Afternoon Tea and dinner, as diners can enjoy stunning views of Hong Kong Island across the water.

Particularly noteworthy dishes that we have tried include Fortnum’s Smoked Salmon with Soda Bread (HK$160), Pumpkin Ravioli with Pine Nuts and Sage (HK$160/HK$248), Spiced Monkfish with Mussels, Red Pepper and Coconut Curry monkfish (HK$328), Malt ice cream with white truffle (HK$198). If you want to indulge in a traditional British afternoon tea experience, don’t miss out their Classic afternoon tea set at HK$588 per person. The scones are definitely a ‘MUST TRY’. You can select from their huge variety of English tea or coffee while gossiping with your friends.
