Meanwhile, Dr.Yuen Kwok-yung, a government expert consultant and chair professor of the Department of Microbiology of the University of Hong Kong, said to reporters after receiving second dose of Corminaty vaccine via intradermal injection today. He emphasised that it was a personal experiment and not to be followed by the others. In the past, seasonal influenza vaccine has also been injected into the skin which will produce more antibodies.

Regarding a foreign man suffering from blood cancer who mistakenly received SINOVAC vaccination instead of Cominarty vaccine at the community vaccination centre of Kowloon Bay Sports Centre, Dr.Yuen said that he believed it was an isolated incident, and said that the entire vaccination programme is of quality and he was not worried. He believes that as long as employees receive more training and increase their vigilance, similar incidents will not occur again. He also pointed out that the man should consult a doctor before deciding whether to switch to Comirnaty vaccine again.
