26th March 2020 – (Hong Kong) The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) announced that as of 4pm yesterday the CHP is investigating 24 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19, taking the number of cases to 411 in Hong Kong so far (comprising 410 confirmed cases and one probable case). The newly reported cases announced today involve 13 males and 11 females aged between 11 and 57. Among them, 19 had travel history during the incubation period.
Beween 4pm and this morning, there were at least 14 more preliminary cases including the 22-year-old police officer who works at Sham Shui Po Police Station. Another waitress at Insomnia Bar tested positive during preliminary diagnosis. There were a waitress and a waiter who tested positive earlier in addition to the Filipino musicians from a band.
A new patient who partied in LKF also tested positive in preliminary diagnosis. A 63-year-old woman of a group tour in the Canadian group tour tested positive in preliminary diagnosis. She is being treated at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. All other preliminary cases have travel history including London and New York.
Two more women who returned to Hong Kong were tested at AsiaExpo before being sent directly to Prince of Wales Hospital. They tested positive in preliminary diagnosis.
