2nd September 2026 – (Hong Kong) A traffic incident inside the grounds of Good Hope Primary School cum Kindergarten at 381 Jat’s Incline in Wong Tai Sin left thirteen people taken to hospital early this afternoon. At about 1.26pm, a white school bus collided with the rear of a nanny van within the campus, damaging the fronts and rears of the two vehicles.
Emergency crews arrived to find the school bus driver with his foot trapped; he was freed by responders and taken to hospital. A nanny and three teachers sustained minor injuries. Eight pupils were not physically hurt but were visibly shaken and were conveyed to hospital for precautionary checks. All casualties were conscious when transported by multiple ambulances to different hospitals for treatment.
Preliminary information indicates the nanny van had been stationary ahead of the school bus and both vehicles were carrying passengers when the bus suddenly lurched forward and struck the van’s tail. Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
