10-foot python captured at Island East Transfer Station in Chai Wan

18th June 2024 – (Hong Kong) At 10.29am today, the Hong Kong police received a report from a concerned citizen regarding the presence of a roughly 10-foot-long python inside the Island East Transfer Station located at 10 Sun Yip Street in Chai Wan. In response, a snake catcher was summoned to the scene.

With great expertise and precision, the snake catcher successfully captured the python, securing it inside a white cloth bag. The captured reptile was then transported back to the police station before its subsequent transfer to Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden for further evaluation and care.
